End of Season!

Hello Fencers,

Great season everyone! Our last day of classes is this Tuesday, June 5th.  There will be a wind-up potluck BBQ at Kiwanis Park on Tuesday June 12th from 5:30 - 8:00pm.  After that, enjoy your summer and we will see you again on September 4th!

Mar. 9 - Early bird registration deadline for the Sask Open (here in Regina!)

Mar. 17-18 - Sask Open/Provincial Fencing Championships at Campus Regina Public
                       - Gala dinner with senior event finals on Saturday evening

Chinook Open Feb 3-4 in Swift Current

Hello everyone,

Entry information for the 2018 Chinook Open, to be held February 3rd and 4th at the Swift Current Comprehensive High School, is available at www.saskfencing.com.  To qualify for the Early-bird entry fee discount, be sure to enter online before 10:00 pm on Friday, January 26th.

Wheelchair Sabre and Wheelchair Epee events will be held - enter by clicking the appropriate boxes on the online entry form.  Entry in any non-wheelchair event grants you free entry into the Wheelchair event(s).

There will also be Under-10 and Under-13 Mini-Epee events.  Details are provided on the information sheet.

Classes Resume Jan. 8 - Term 2 Registration Begins Jan. 23

Happy New Year!

Fencing for the East Zone Club and Regina Rapiers will resume this Tuesday, January 8th at 7:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you all back!

Registration for the second half of the year begins on Tuesday, Jan. 23rd and will be open until the end of February. Please register in person at the club during this period.

Asquith Open - Oct 28-29th in Delisle, SK

Hello everyone,

Entry information for the 2017 Asquith Open, to be held October 28th and 29th in Delisle, is now available on the Competition Info page of the Sask Fencing website.  The competition information sheet is attached for your convenience.

Please note that the Early-bird entry deadline for the competition is 10:00 pm on Wednesday, October 25th, so be sure to enter before then.

Wheelchair Sabre and Wheelchair Epee events will be held - enter by clicking the appropriate boxes on the online entry form.  Entry in the corresponding Open event(s) grants you free entry into the Wheelchair event(s).

Canada Cup West tournament in Regina

Registration is now open for the Canada Cup West Event!

The Canada Cup West is a development event offering domestic points in the early part of the annual competition calendar. It will be held in Regina November 4-5th at the Field House.

2017/2018 Season

Welcome to the Regina Fencing Club for the 2017/2018 season.  Fencing takes place from September 5, 2017 to June 5, 2018.  The first semester runs September 5, 2017 to January 18, 2018. Semester two runs January 23rd 2018 to June 5th, 2018.  Fees are as follows:

“Try Fencing” Includes 3 sessions: $30.00

One Semester Fee: $250.00

AECA Zone Membership: $5.00

Recreational SFA License full year: $100

Recreational SFA License half year: $50

Please make cheques payable to the Regina East Zone Board Inc. You must have a City of Regina Community Association membership to register for fencing.  An Arcola East Community Association Membership may be purchased for $5.00. An SFA license is mandatory to participate beyond the try 3 classes. Competitive Fencers must register individually for their CFF (Canadian Fencing Association) membership.  Go to https://www.fencing.ca/membership-registration/ to register. SKE-East Zone is your club association for under 18, SKR-Regina Rapiers for 18+.

Equipment will be supplied for you/your child initially but if you/your child decides they would like to continue past the introductory sessions they will be required to buy a fencing glove, which the club will arrange. If you/your child would like to compete at the provincial competitions put on by the Saskatchewan Fencing Association, the tournament dates will be posted shortly.

There will be NO FENCING when school is out, such as at Christmas, February Family Week, and Easter. More exact dates to follow. Other cancellations and events may also occur throughout the year so we ask that you join our Regina Fencing Facebook or make sure we have an email address you use regularly.
